WHAT WE ARE ABOUT

WAGS is a social and support group that helps gay and bisexual men come out, meet people, make new friends and develop a social network. The group organises various activities and occasional workshops as requested by members.

The group is a self help group as well as a support group in that members make of it what they will, develop, plan and run their own program of activities, and assist the facilitators in whatever way they feel best. The more you put into the group the more you will benefit.

New members may have a peer support 'buddy' member to help them during the settling in period but this is entirely optional.

WHERE WE MEET

We meet in the ACON Illawarra Community Space, 18 Ellen Street, Wollongong.

WHEN WE MEET

We meet on the first and third Saturdays of the month. Meeting times are 7pm-9pm.

WHO WE ARE

Men who identify as gay, bisexual, or are questioning their sexuality aged 30 and over, mainly living in Wollongong, Shellharbour and Illawarra region.

WHAT WE DO

Social drop in nights, peer support, workshops, movie and games nights, outings, BBQs, Mardi Gras, sexual health clinics, guest speakers, café club, theatre, and any other activities that interests group members.
